New Audit or Bonding Req.
The Department of Labor ("DOL") has issued new regulations modifying the audit and bonding requirements for small plans.
Currently, only plans with 100 or more participants must obtain an accountant's report from an independent CPA for attachment to the Form 5500 annually. Small plans with fewer than 100 participants are exempt from this requirement.
